Manager rating (out of 10, 10 = best)

8

Mikel Arteta.

Made a big call to substitute Emil Smith-Rowe for Reiss Nelson, and boy did that work out.

Player ratings

(players introduced after 70 minutes = no rating)

7

Aaron Ramsdale.

Not at fault for the opener and made several big saves to keep the score low early on.

5

Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Got forward well to support Saka but never really threatened the Bournemouth backline. Replaced at half time.

6

Gabriel.

Solid enough for the most part for the Brazilian. Not up to his standards of late, but serviceable, nonetheless.

6

William Saliba.

Similar to his partner in defense, a decent enough outing for Saliba without being outstanding.

7

Alexander Zinchenko.

His usual self, pulling the strings for the Gunners, and was a major reason for the second-half comeback.

6

Fabio Viera.

His usual self, pulling the strings for the Gunners, and was a major reason for the second-half comeback.

7

Thomas Partey.

The Ghanaian was solid in the middle of the pitch. Kept his team ticking over with his progressive passes.

7

Martin Odegaard.

Pulled the strings and was a bundle of energy. Great outing from the Gunners skipper.

6

Bukayo Saka.

Held largely in check for the majority of the game. Came into it the later the game went as Arsenal chased the winner. Not to his usual standards.

5

Leandro Trossard.

Came off injured after just 21 minutes but did look lively early on.

7

Gabriel Martinelli.

Again, the Brazilian was on the outer and had a couple of chances that, on another day, would have found the back of the net.

Substitutes.

5

Emile Smith Rowe.

Big chance for Smith Rowe with Trossard injured and he didn’t take it. Fairly anonymous during his time on the pitch before being subbed off for Reiss Nelson.

7

Ben White.

Got forward to great effect after coming on at half time. Picked the perfect moment to pop up with his first-ever goal for Arsenal.

8

Reiss Nelson.

Again, the Brazilian was on the outer and had a couple of chances that, on another day, would have found the back of the net.

N/R

Granit Xhaka.

Came on too late to influence the game.
